Job Overview

We build modern cloud-native applications for business, operational and technical users. We need someone who is comfortable across backend and frontend, but does not treat fullstack engineering as doing a little bit of everything without depth.

This role is for an engineer who can design a complete feature: from APIs, integrations and events to a clean, usable interface.

We work on products that support real processes, real data and real users. Quality, iteration speed, stability, performance and developer experience all matter.

What You Will Build

  • Cloud-native web applications used by enterprise teams.
  • Backend services in Python, primarily FastAPI.
  • User interfaces in React and TypeScript.
  • Synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
  • Integrations with cloud services and internal systems.
  • Event-driven workflows based on Pub/Sub or similar mechanisms.
  • Data components using Cloud SQL, Firestore, BigQuery or similar.
  • Observability, monitoring and production diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop fullstack applications.
  • Build backend services in Python and FastAPI.
  • Create modern user interfaces in React and TypeScript.
  • Design APIs, integration contracts and data models.
  • Implement event-driven solutions.
  • Integrate with cloud services and internal platforms.
  • Optimize application performance and queries.
  • Maintain code quality, tests, CI/CD and automation.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Platform Engineering and QA.
  • Participate in architectural and technical decisions.

Technology Stack

  • Backend

Python, FastAPI, asyncio, Pydantic, REST / RPC

  • Frontend

React, TypeScript, component-based UI, modern frontend tooling

  • Cloud

GCP, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage

  • Data

    Cloud SQL, PostgreSQL, Firestore, BigQuery

  • DevOps

Docker, CI/CD, GitHub Actions / Cloud Build

  • Quality

pytest, contract testing, code review, automated checks

  • Observability

    structured logging, tracing, metrics, alerting

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of commercial software engineering experience.
  • Strong Python skills.
  • Practical experience with FastAPI or a similar framework.
  • Good React and TypeScript knowledge.
  • Experience designing APIs and production systems.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming in Python.
  • Cloud experience, preferably GCP.
  • Docker and CI/CD experience.
  • Ability to work with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Senior-level ownership and communication.

Nice to Have

  • GCP Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, BigQuery.
  • Event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with systems involving many integrations.
  • Observability and distributed tracing knowledge.
  • Practice with AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience designing UX for internal tools.

What We Offer

  • Remote-first setup and flexible working hours.
  • Opportunity to build products end-to-end, not just isolated system fragments.
  • Participation in decisions about stack, architecture and platform quality.
  • Small, technically strong team.
  • Budget for equipment, training, conferences and developer tools.
  • Access to cloud environments and room for reasonable experimentation.
  • Private medical care and benefits package.
  • Recruitment process focused on technical discussion, not a long take-home assignment.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can combine backend, frontend, cloud and product thinking.

If you enjoy building things that are technically solid, pleasant to use and ready for production, we should talk.
